What You’ll Be Doing:

 

·        Constructively challenge and discuss implementation opportunities and alternatives

·        Consistently improve your own skill set and knowledge, using the best new technologies available with the leaders in the digital industry

·        Create JAVA/JSTL/Test code to agreed specifications that support the ongoing development, management and maintenance of the core Enterprise Content Management System(s)

·        Work with Project Managers, Front End Developers and Operational teams to progress project works and aid in maintenance

 

BUT…Can You Handle It?

 

Now that you’re ready to work for this company, make sure that this company will want you to work for them. You need to have extensive experience in the analysis, design, development and testing of enterprise-grade Java applications, with solid technical skills in a number of the following technologies:

 

·        Java EE 5 (EJB 3.0, JPA)

·        Spring, Hibernate (highly regarded)

·        HTML and JavaScript

·        Object oriented design and development

·        Database design (e.g. Oracle PL/SQL)

 

Not So Fast. You ALSO need…

 

·        Exposure to a range of Java Application Servers (e.g.JBoss, Tomcat)

·        Experience using standard software development tools (e.g. Ant/Maven, Subversion, Jira, Greenhopper, Eclipse)

·        Development best practices (design patterns, test driven development, continuous integration)

·        Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile with SCRUM)

·        Detailed knowledge of web application architecture and infrastructure

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        The ability to work well independently and within a team, especially cross-functional teams
