I have worked with Halina MacQueen since 1995, when I was in the position of Manager, Corporate Superannuation IT - Prudential. I had been referred to Halina by several of my colleagues who had been using her services very successfully since 1990. I immediately found Halina to be genuinely interested in my requirements and in trying to understand the type of person I required for a good team fit, rather than just anyone who came close to having the technical skills I required. At that time I was looking for "CTL" programming skills, a little known proprietary language used in the CAPITAL Superannuation package. Although there were very limited number of resources available in Australia, Halina managed to find me several good programmers and an excellent Business Analyst who helped me turn a rather poorly implemented system into one that the business loved.

When I moved to AM Corporation (Superannuation and Investments), I personally moved through various roles from Development Manager through to Divisional Manager of IT. With an IT department that grew from around 15 to about 70 at its peak, there were many recruitment needs that I continued to use Halina and Sherborne Consulting for. Again I had many requirements that were hard to meet, especially in the Ingres field, but Halina managed to put forward the most superior candidates both at a permanent and contract basis, several of which I managed to recruit. The candidates were again of a high quality, technically competent and a good team fit.

In my current role as Project Director at Comsuper (Australian Government), although I have had only one resource need, I managed to successfully convince senior management to look outside of their normal "panel" of recruitment companies, and got Sherborne Consulting involved once again. Unfortunately the role got shelved, but the quality of the resumes I received was once again of a very high standard.

What was most important to me was the excellent relationship Halina and Sherborne Consulting have built with me, the fact that they really understood my needs and have never provided me with candidates that are just close to the mark.
