The National Privacy Principles established by the Privacy Act 1988 apply to Sherborne Consulting Pty Limited. As such, we will endeavour to safeguard any such personal information collected from candidates and recorded on our database.

Personal information held usually falls into the following categories:
  • candidate information submitted and obtained from the Candidate and other sources (e.g. reference checks) in connection with applications for work;
  • work performance information;
  • information obtained to assist in managing client and business relationships
Your personal information may only be used in connection with the following: your possible or actual placement in a contract or permanent position our assessment of your ongoing performance and prospects under certain circumstances where we are under a lawful duty of care to disclose information.

You have the option of having your details deleted from Sherborne's database at any time. Likewise, Sherborne can exercise the right to destroy personal information in a manner that protects the privacy of the individual when that information is no longer of use to us.

We may only disclose your personal and sensitive information to the following:
  • our clients and your potential employers
  • referees
  • our insurers
  • a Workers Compensation body
  • any person with a lawful entitlement to obtain the information
If you do not give us the information we seek:
  • we may be limited in our ability to locate suitable work for you
  • we may be limited in our ability to place you in work
Access:

Subject to some exceptions that are set out in the National Privacy Principles, you can gain access to the personal information that we hold about you.

We do refuse access if it would interfere with the privacy rights of other persons or if it breaches any confidentiality that attaches to that information.

Should you wish to exercise your right, please contact us. You should also anticipate that it may take a little time to process your application for access as there may be a need to retrieve information from storage and review information in order to determine what information may be provided.

iProfile:
  • Sherborne is an iProfile Compatible Organisation;
  • Sherborne also collects candidate’s personal information for the purpose of creating an iProfile for the candidate;
  • The candidate’s personal information may be disclosed to SkillsMarket for the purpose of creating an iProfile;
  • The candidate’s personal information contained in the iProfile may be shared with other Recruitment Agencies that the candidate has previously provided his/her CV to; and
  • The candidate consents to the use and disclosure of its personal information in this manner.
